I never really liked Oprah's shows. I mean I watched some of them sometimes when I was little, but they were so "soapy".
But her speech is good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fN5HV79_8B8
Of course there's all kinds of problems about the context and appropriation if struggle and everything, but times ARE changing. This _IS_ change for the better regarding gender equality.

The wild cat that used to visit me, 10 years ago, at my house in the woods up the hill, where I was living at the time.
Somebody on #Steeemit wants to support CC-by artwork. Not sure if I will benefit from it (if the art has to be about crypto it is not that interesting for me) - but still nice that at least some people out there realise that CC-art should be supported just as voluntarily as it is given away by the artist.
I made this drawing for them.

Marcus Aurelius, one of the most powerful people in the world, had trouble getting out of bed.
It's human, universal, - you're not alone. 😊
>At dawn, when you have trouble getting out of bed, tell yourself: “I have to go to work — as a human being. What do I have to complain of, if I’m going to do what I was born for — the things I was brought into the world to do? Or is this what I was created for? To huddle under the blankets and stay warm?”
- Meditations, Marcus Aurelius
Singing is what is missed.
Here's a macedonian song sung by (greek?) five-piece women choir in a cafe.
Re that last boost: Mastodon is hard to get into without a guide and some focused usage.
The things that make it less toxic also make it harder to discover people to follow.
Without people, you just kind of feel like you're tooting into the void. It makes Mastodon a lonely place that you're less likely to return to. I mean, this is why Twitter and Facebook put so much energy into recommendations.
I don't think Mastodon should try to solve this problem. But let's acknowledge the hurdles.
hey ! welcome to @creativecommons !!

Justin Lakes' labyrinthine tape loops are wild. They're like the cassette equivalent of a painting of a face with too many eyes, and his loops sound just as screechy/scratchy/glitchy/loud as you'd expect. http://www.tabsout.com/?p=17050
